Antes, são os espaços não mensuráveis que assim configurados se desdobram no tempo e na ausência das margens: na geometria dos triângulos claros e escuros dispostos e justapostos pelos vértices e na mancha brilhante de uma quantidade de estrelas que acendem e se apagam a diferentes distâncias e na trama de uma folha de papel. Muitos eixos imaginários parecem ordenar este universo gráfico intuído pela luz e seu desenho.

 

Entre o claro e o escuro, uma sábia economia de meios. A ponta seca e a maneira negra são os seus instrumentos de gravar.

 

Cortes e crivos profundos sobre o metal descobrem uma gravura exposta a todos os extratos de uma variedade tonal, ao modelado da forma, à tinta e à necessária transmissão matriz e estampa. São estes os constituintes de uma matéria gráfica sensível e íntegra.

 

Autônoma e plena de significados.

On the Firmament

 

They are, rather, immeasurable spaces, conformed in such a way that they unfold in time and in the absence of margins; in the geometry of lighter and darker triangles, arranged and juxtaposed by their vertices, and in the bright patch of a myriad of stars which flicker and glimmer at different distances, framed in the sheet of paper. Several imaginary axes seemingly rule this graphical universe conceived through light and its representation.

 

Between light and darkness, a wise economy of means. The dry-point and the mezzotint are the implements in the printmaking. The incisions and engravings on the metal uncover an intaglio exposed to each and every extract, from tonal variety to the shaped form, the inking and the essential transmission between the plate and the print. Such are the constituents of a keen and substantial visual matter; self-sufficient and full of meaning.
